- Course objectives
- 1) To help students to gain practical experience of expert in the field HRM • 2) to provide students methodological support during the process of confrontation of the practical problems with the theoretical concepts. • 3) to enable interconnection between theoretical and methododological work on diploma thesis of students and solving practical problems in HRM on the level of companies. This knowledge is used and utilitized by students during work on their diploma thesis. • 4) to help students to make a first contact with their potential employers (after their graduation).
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students will be able to: • - identify, analyze and reflect practical problems in the field of human resource development and management in organizations; • - suggest and explain an adequate method of organizational research; • - plan data gathering in organizations, identify, reflect and solve possible difficulties during data gathering; • - present and argue their suggestion, receive and give feedback
- Syllabus
- 1) Choosing an organisation and arranging an internship • 2) Performance of the internship • 3) Active participation in seminars • Seminar Schedule: • Seminar 1: Introduction to the course and internship, setting up thematic and organisational database of the internship, consultation research plans in case of linking the internship to the thesis and other internship topics. • Seminar 2: The importance of strategic analysis in development and management. Reflecting on the role of the researcher in the organisation and the human resource management work. Reflection and discussion of practice experiences on the topic. • Seminar 3: HR marketing and employer branding - formulation objectives and strategies, necessary data and their sources, working with data and different types of analysis. Reflection and discussion of practical experience on the topic. • Seminar 4: Personnel planning, recruitment, selection, hiring, adaptation and dismissal of employees - formulation objectives and strategies, necessary data and their sources, working with data and different types of analysis. Reflection and discussion of practical experience on the topic. • Seminar 5: Performance, appraisal, reward and training and development - formulation objectives and strategies, necessary data and their sources, working with data and different types of analysis. Reflection and discussion of practical experience on the topic. • Seminar 6: Quality of working life and positive employment experience - formulation objectives and strategies, necessary data and their sources, working with data and different types of analysis.
