The students are supposed to be of general French competence at the level of a secondary school and to have attended and passed successfully two semesters of the course in Language II.1. and 2. - French for Lawyers. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- The main objectives can be summarized as follows: to be introduced to legal French to learn specific features of the French administrative and legal system to get new knowledge and new communicative competences and oral skills, in particular understanding both written and spoken texts
- Syllabus
- Topics for exploring and working with the texts and communicating professional issues relating to the following fields: Employment Law and Social Security Law, Business Law, Contract, Environmental Law, European Law, Judicature of the European Court. Lexis and grammar of the language for specific purposes.

- Assessment methods
- The course is taught in the form of seminars. It is ended by a credit awarded on the basis of an active participation in class discussions (80%), working out a paper (translation of a judgment)and passing the final credit test (70%).
