- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to: define basic conception and notions,principles and sources of the NGO law in European context; place NGO law to the system of law; categorize legal persons generally and also NGOs characterize types of legal persons - association, foundation, institution; interpret the "European approach" to NGOs; express own opinion about the tendencies of development of the legal regulation NGO law in the Czech Republic and in European context.

- 1. The term „Non-profit organisation“, Theorectical background of the NGO law in the European context 2. Categorization of the NGO´s 3 - 4. The Association – characteristics, purpose, establishment, winding up 5. Membership in the Association 6.- 7. The Foundation, the Endowment fund - characteristics, purpose, establishment, winding up 8. The Public benefit Institution - characteristics, purpose, establishment, winding up 9. Internal governance of NGO´s 10. Internal and external (state) supervision 11. Sources of financing of NGO´s sector 12. Position of foreign and international NGO´s in the Czech Republic

- Teaching methods
- There are 12 sessions. The content of the lectures is covers the topic of NGO from the general point of view, is focused on basic definitions, principles of NGOs; lectures are supplemented by the individual studies - by reading books, multimedial study texts, judicature and e-learning.
