- Course objectives
- At the end of the course the student will understand the crucial terms of theory of state and constitutional law; the student will know the structure and functions of modern state; the student will be able to characterise the constitution, constitutionalism, democracy, selfgovernment and their forms; the student will understand the basics of human rights problemacy and legal protection.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will be able to: understand the crucial terms of theory of state and political science; describe the organizational structure of modern state; characterize functions of modern state and political system generally; characterize elections and systems of voting; understand the basics of human rights protection.

- Teaching methods
- The lectures emphasize methodological aspects of the subject. The seminary lessons follow the lectures and are more focused on detailed discussion of particular topics. The students are instructed to solve the tasks based on their previous preparation – readings or reflection of the actual topics. The prevailed form of teaching are discussion and presentation.
