Course objectives
The objective of the course is to teach the students how to recognise labour law relation and how to distinguish them from other legal relations. Furthermore, the objective of the course is to understand basic principles of labour law, protection of an employee and his/her employment relationship. The students should be able to write an employment contract or another contract, apply provisions concerning compensation for damages and recognise industrial injury.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: • - to distinguish the type of employment relationship and the relevant legislation • -to define and distinguish employment relationship in the private sector and the civil service relationship • - be well informed about specific of employment a working condition on private and public sector • - to apply gained knowledge in the praxis in case of establishment, changes and termination of employment and civil service relationship
Syllabus
  • Labour law - subject, The relationship between the Labour Code and the Civil Code and the Act on civil service and the Act of service relationship of the member of law enforcement units. Basic characteristics of the employment relationship and civil service. Establishment of an employment relationship, civil service relationship, changes and termination of employment Accountability system in   employment law. Collective bargaining and collective agreements.

Teaching methods
PPT presentation (interactivity of students). Individual preparation at home for prescribed issues, solution of practical examples (application of theoretical knowledge to practical problems), Lesson takes place in the form of consultations.
Assessment methods
Oral examination. In the case of distance (online) learning an online exam (test).
