Course objectives
To further deepen the knowledge and skills of students in the field of labour law, especially focusing on the practical application of the subject legal regulation in selected aspects, such as the formulation of content of the employment contract and internal regulations with regard to the requirements of legal regulations and the legitimate interests of the subjects of the employment relationship, the optimal procedure and dispute resolution in terminating the employment relationship in specific cases, application of the regulation of remuneration of dependent work (setting the wage system, differentiation of the nature of individual components of remuneration and other monetary benefits, etc.), resolution of cases in the field of compensation for damages in employment relations (obligation to compensate for harm in certain cases, determination of the scope of compensation, etc.), procedures in the field of occupational accidents and occupational diseases of employees (reporting and investigation of occupational accidents, recognition of occupational diseases, compensation for damage caused, compulsory liability insurance, loss of health-capacity to work and related procedures).
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able to apply employment law to specific cases within the discussed areas in a more complex context (proposal of the optimal procedure for termination of employment in specific circumstances, dealing with cases of damage caused by the employer or employee from the moment of discovery of the damage to the method of its payment, etc. Students should also be able to formulate the content of key employment law documents (employment contract, termination of employment, internal regulations, etc.) taking into account the requirements of the legislation and the specific circumstances of the case.
