- Teaching methods
- In the practicals, the topics discussed are practised as group and individual activities supplemented by the teacher's explanations and discussions. An essential part of the teaching is the students' home preparation for individual lessons and self-study. Students can check their readiness for the lesson by taking the ROPOT before each class.
- Assessment methods
- Participation in practical exercises is compulsory. One unexcused absence is allowed. There are four tests in total in the practical exercises:
Prescription test (8th exercise)
- contains one IPLP and one HVLP
- the active substance is indicated in the entry for the IPLP and the pharmacotherapeutic group or indication for the HVLP
- for both preparations, the pharmaceutical form and the quantity of the preparation
- rating: pass/fail
- the time limit is 30 minutes
- can be repeated a maximum of twice
Multiple-choice tests (Exercises 4, 7 and 10)
- on knowledge of the material covered
- the test consists of 10 questions with 3 to 5 multiple choice questions
- the number of correct answers is given at the end of the question
- points are awarded for questions answered completely correctly (2 points)
- the limit for passing the test is 10 points
- only one of the tests can be repeated and only once
TEST
In order to pass:
90% attendance at practice
Successful completion of the Prescription Test
Successful completion of three Multiple-choice tests.
Multiple-choice test results count towards the final grade for Pharmacology II (ZLFA0721p) - Language of instruction
- Czech
- Further comments (probably available only in Czech)

- Teacher's information
- Information for students:
Classes are held in classrooms according to the timetable listed in the IS.
Due to public holidays, some classes will be taught with other topics. The respective seminar groups will be informed of this fact by e-mail well in advance.
The teaching of pharmacology to students of dental medicine is conducted on a two-semester basis.
In the spring semester, the course is completed with credit. See above for credit requirements.
Completion in the autumn semester = rigorous examination, which consists of a pre-test and an oral part.
The oral exam consists of three randomly selected questions from the headings:
1) general pharmacology
2) special pharmacology
3) selected chapters of special pharmacology relevant to ZL students
The results of the multiple-choice test from practicals and pre-exam tests are included in the final grade, see the ZL Continuous Assessment System document in the Study materials.
