- Course objectives
- The aim of the subject is to give to students basic images about onset and development of diseases by an unusual combination of pathology and pathophysiology approaches and knowledge. Due to this approach, the students will be able to understand necessity of both static and dynamic evaluations of the patient clinical state. This will give them a certainty during laboratory results evaluations and for further development of laboratory diagnostics.

- 20/9 2011 Pathology as a discipline, its statement in medicine, biopsy, autopsy. Cell damage, adaptation, cell stress, cell aging.
- 27/9 Pathophysiology as a science. Disease, healthy, normality. Onset and development of diseases.
