Course objectives
The course is practical in nature. Its aim is gradual adaptation of students to hospital environments and emergency medical services. Allows application of theoretical knowledge in terms of clinical departments and institutes cnicční prehospital and hospital emergency care. It introduces the basic nursing care to the standard types of departments, including outpatient component, and specialized care, characteristic for prehospital and hospital emergency care. Students work under the mentorship of clinical practice at accredited workplaces. Departments have a logical sequence in the direction from the standard of care to highly specialized. Students will be able to identify individual bio-psycho-socio-spiritual needs of clients using diagnostic algorithm, suggesting practically implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care in collaboration multidisciplinary team, apply their theoretical knowledge into practice.
Syllabus
  • Practical training is focused on instructional knowledge, skills, work habits and stereotypes / algorithms treating patients on the wards and the standard of emergency care:
  • - Gradually gaining professional stereotypes and their consolidation,
  • -Separate working with   patient documentation, monitoring their needs,
  • - The establishment and implementation of the nursing plan   natural conditions, continuous evaluation of completed nursing activities, changes in   interventions, leading to   adjust the patient's condition,
  • - Respecting the peculiarities of nursing care for   individual ages
  • - Relaying information to members of the medical team,
  • - The organization of work at   exit ingredients RLP-RZP-LZS and practical application of theoretical knowledge and skills in working with   emergency services
  • - Receiving and transmitting patient first examination and treatment in the context of the practice   u ~ emergency services
  • - Knows the procedures for working with   laboratory biological material,
  • -   Is familiar with the organization and manner of work on dispatching EMS, with     communications with callers, with   algorithms activities and synergies with   other emergency services,
  • - Knows the equipment and operating facilities ambulance,
  • - Participates in the work of the team   crew ambulances;
  • - Is an active member of the team at the emergency reception at ARO,
  • - Manages operation of medical equipment needed to monitor   the patient / client,
  • - Respects patients' rights and observes the principles of ethics,
  • - Practically master the basics of behavior   sterile environment of the operating room, labor nurse anesthesia section, communicating with   patients cope with sudden changes in the state, positioning, patient safety, transport back to the department,
  • - Knows the procedure for accepting mothers on the maternity ward,   preparation for childbirth, psychotherapeutic approach, and communication with   woman and relatives, the conduct spontaneous delivery, care of the newborn, newborn resuscitation, secured transport newborns
  • - Is capable indicative assessment of the newborn, major risks, basic nursing procedures, ensuring the transport of newborns.
  • - Completion of professional experience, fulfilling predetermined objectives and the practical implementation of student performance recorded in the diary of professional and personal experience. Workplace 6th semester:

Teaching methods
Students work under the guidance of trainers (mentors), as directed by the teacher handled seminar work focusing on the nursing process for patients in intensive care.
