Course objectives
The subject is of a practical nature. Its goal is the gradual adaptation of students to the hospital environment and to the medical rescue service. It allows the application of theoretical knowledge in the conditions of clinical workplaces and pre-hospital and hospital emergency care settings. It introduces specialized care, which is characteristic of pre-hospital and hospital emergency care.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to identify the individual bio-psycho-socio-spiritual needs of clients with the use of diagnostic algorithms, to design, to practically implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan in the co-operation of a multidisciplinary team, to apply theoretical knowledge to practice in patients in emergency care.
Syllabus
  • Practical lessons are focused on instructive knowledge, skills, habits and work stereotypes / nursing algorithms in standard and emergency care departments:
  • consolidation of work stereotypes in the care of patients in acute care, mothers in the labor room, work in the anesthesiology section of the operating theater and in the crew of the medical rescue service. Active participation in nursing activities.

Teaching methods
Students work under the guidance of trainers (mentors), as directed by the teacher handled seminar work focusing on the nursing process for patients in intensive care.
Assessment methods
Students are evaluated on a school form tutor at individual workplaces. The final exam is set in an emergency setting simulated scenario.
