Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are identified in the cognitive, psychomotor and attitudinal. The subject is classified as a theoretical and practical with a superiority of practical activities in relation with nursing care. The tuition is situated in the skill labs where the clinical enviroment is simulated. There are used the modern approaches according the evidence based healthcare during the lectures.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- to identify the problems of the patient and to formulate the nursing diagnosis (to manage the orientation in the nursing process);
- define requirements for effective and holistic nursing care;
- provide nursing care to persons with immobilization bandages;
- apply their knowledge in preparing and assisting with specific examinations (puncture, endoscopy);
- to carry out activities based on knowledge gained in the administration of various forms of medicine, injection, preparation and assistance of the infusion, transfusion;
- to carry out the nursing process in pre-operative preparation and post-operative care of patients,
- implement the nursing process in the care of a patient with a stoma.

Assessment methods
Active participation in seminars (excused absence 1x / semester ie. 2 lessons). assessment - The exam consists of oral and practical parts, written test (75% success).
