- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce the students with highly specialized nursing care in patients with severe cardiovascular disease. Acquaint students with coronary unit procedures - preparation, course and treatment of the patient, treatmentof a patient with cardiac surgery, principles of nursing care of a patient with cardiovascular diseases, a patient with a consciousness disorder,basics of electrocardiographic examination, acute coronary syndrome,acute and chronic heart failure, valvular disorders, supraventricular arrhythmias, ventricular arrhythmias, hypertensivecrisis, before, during and aftercardioversion, defibrillation, cardiostimulation, myocarditis/cardiomyopathy, pericardial disease, care for patients in angiology.

- Students are able to: - to define individual procedures in coronary department – preparation, process and treatment of patients. - to define nursing care individualprocedures and nursing care patientswithcardiosurgeryintervention - to explain principles of nursing care by patients with cardiovasculardisease - to define care a patients with impaired consciousness - explain and recognize basics of electrocardiographic examination (ECG) - curve analysis, reflection of individual heart rhythm disorders on ECG record - to define care a patients with acute coronary syndrome - to define care a patients with acute and chronicheartfailure - to define care a patients with supraventriculararrhythmias - to define care a patients with ventriculararrhythmias - to define care a patients withh ypertensivecrisis - to define care a patients before, process and aftercardioversion, defibrillation and pacing - to define care a patients with myokarditis,cardiomyopathy - to define care a patients with pericardialdisease(including pericardial puncture) - to define care a patients in angiology(diseases of the arteries and veins) - to define care of patients with pulmonary embolism
