Course objectives
The aim of the course is acquaintance with basic concepts of physical education-related medicine, physiology and psychology of physical and sport education of young school age children. The emphasis is put on conscious grounding of the idea of all-round and harmonic development of the children's personality.
Syllabus
  • 1. Physiological basis of human motorics, focusing on children motoric development specialties. 2. Factors limiting spor performance, basic concepts of metabolism, physiological guidelines of sport training of youth, reasons of fatigue and tiredness, gender and age differences, methods of clinical and pedagogical surveillance, motoric and stress tests. 3. Injury prevention, safety guidelines, possible injury treatment, sport hygiene. 4. Specialties of children mental development, psychology-oriented analysis of physical education, basic concepts from the learning theory, focusing on senso-motoric learning. 5. Psychological guidelines in sport education, typology and identification of sport talents, personality of the teacher and the student, methods of their mutual interaction observation, possibilities of psychology tests application.
