- Oral projects, class discussions, practical exercises, individual projects, online group discussions.
- Assessment methods
- The general pass mark for this course is 70%. In order to qualify to sit for the credit test at the end of the semester, students must pass the continuous assessment of their work during the semester.
The continuous assessment will be based on work done in class with the book Inside Out as well as out-of-class assignments. There will be quizzes in class that cover both books. The out-of-class assignments include discussion online, a digital story, and a written essay.
If students reach the pass mark in the continuous assessment, they will then sit the credit test.
The credit test will consist of evaluation of the students grammar and vocabulary based on the course book as well as general reading and listening sections. Students are also expected to study the book English Grammar In Use in their own time during the semester to prepare for the credit test. The credit test will have both written and oral components. - Language of instruction
