- Course objectives
- At the end of this subject the students are able to understand the problems of education of pupils and individuals with physical and severe disabilities and make deductions based on acquired knowlegdes according to the art of support of these individuals at school and at work.
- Syllabus
- Studying areas: Charakteristic of individuals with physically and severe diabilities, with chronical illnes Early intervention Support system for pupils with physically disability, with severe disabilities and their families Specific needs of children with severe disabilities in the pre-school, preparation of physically disabled child to enter to school Education of physically disabled, pupils, pupils with severe disabilities, educational programms Individual educational plan for pupils with physically and severe disabilities Cerebral palsy (hemiparesis, diparesis, quadruparesis, cerebral palsy as a multihandicap Symptomatic speech disorders of children with cerebral palsy Special educational diagnostic of the gross motor skills, educational intervention Special educational diagnostic of fine motor skills, educational intervention Special educational diagnostic of grapho-motor skills, drawing and writing of physically disabled, educational intervention. Diagnostic of speech and communication abilities of cerebral palsy children, signs of the oral development Connection with disordered motor development and speech of children with cerebral palsy Vocational training of pupils with physically disabilities and chronical illnesses, secondary schools Work and employment of physically disabled. Supported employment Alternative communication for pupils with physically and severe disabilities, using of computers Therapy and the special educational support (art-therapy, music therapy, occupational therapy, canis- and hippotherapy) Multisenzoric stimulation Snoezelen Medical rehabilitation of clients with disorder of central motor-neuron (Vojtas method of reflexive therapy, Bobaths therapy)
