- Course objectives
- The aim of the subject is to improve the students awareness of selected alternative educational movements also in a broader context of the development of educational science. - understand the basic terminology of the subject - explain the relationships and connections between particular aspects of the subject - use the information acquired in the subject to expand one’s own perspective of the issues studied - create a database of basic technical terms and their mutual relationships - present points of view well-argued on the basis of newly acquired knowledge
- Syllabus
- Humanism, democracy, plurality in pedagogy. Attempts to classificate alternative educational posibilities. Historical resources of alternative thinking and alternative pedagogical systems and reform pedagogy. Selected features of alternative educational methods. From alternative system of reform pedagogy k alternative schools of 60. and 70. of 20. century. Contemporary posibilities of the alternative educational practises.

- - theoretical preparation in the form of a consultations with independent study of specialized sources
- Assessment methods
- Oral examination - at the oral examination the student randomly selects one of the topics, an appropriate response has to be given to the topic and examiner’s possible further questions - a essay extended essay of 6-10 pages submitted both in the electronic form and a hard copy to the teacher at a date agreed
