- Course objectives
- Interpreting Texts and Didactic Games in Literary Education Students will get a deeper insight into the theory of didactic interpretation which is the most importatn approach to the work with artistic literature. They will also develop their interpretational skills. Having met the course requirements, students will be able to modify the approaches of interpretation to be able to use them for pre-school children and design similar activities for their own teaching practice.
- Syllabus
- 1. The term interpretation in historical and actual connections. 2. Scientific and didactic interpretation (complex and partial character). 3. Specific features of didactic interpretation, individuality of artistic texts. 4. Main parts of epic and lyrical texts. 5. Complex and partial interpretative processes in the work with prosaic genres. 6. Complex and partial interpretative processes in the work with poetry. 7. Game as a way to understanding of artistic literature. The basis of seminars is the work with concrete literary texts, the examples of interpretative activities and didactic games.

- Theoretical preparation, methods of discussion.
- Assessment methods
- Completion: colloquium. Requirements: continuous assessment of students participation in class discussion and a written assignment. Written assignment: complex interpretative analysis of two artistic texts for children (prose, poetry) from the point of view of the theme, composition and language and the possibilities of their didactic transformation, and their use in the development of the aesthetical perception of pre-school children.
