- Course objectives
- The goal is to manage the graphic system of Russian language and Cyrillic writing and printing, mastering the correct pronunciation and intonation, and basic grammar and rules. The teaching is also learning new vocabulary, emphasis on the gradual development of communication skills to selected topics. Writing and speaking are practiced regularly in the form of separate tasks.

Business and personal calls. 4) The daily regime. Working day. What do you do in your spare time? 5) Do you speak Russian? What foreign languages do you know? 6) We have three children. Family. Relationships. 7) On the cottage. House. Garden.

- Teaching methods
- During the semester, students produce their homework, keep reading Russian texts.
- Assessment methods
- Russian Basic Course 1 ends with a written test of memorized grammar and vocabulary (translation and optional exercises). Upon successful completion of the test followed by an oral examination aimed at controlling reading books in Russian (minimum 30-50 pages) and listening (audio, video, DVD - at least 1 movie),covering topics of conversation. Students also provide a glossary of new words from reading (50 words). The assessment is not used vocabulary and grammatical correctness, but also the correct pronunciation.
