Course objectives
The student will be oriented in the problematics of communication ability - verbal, nonverbal communication; anatomy and physiology of the respiratory and speech organs, head nerves (innervations of the respiratory, phonation, articulation and hearing organs). He will understand disordered communication ability - its classification,methods and techniques of intervention - diagnostics of developmental dysphasia, aphasia, mutism, dyslalia, dysartria, balbuties, tumultus sermonis, rhinolalia, palatelalia, voice disorders.
Syllabus
  • Process ot the interpersonal communication - verbal, noverbal. Speech and language. Anatomy and physiology of the respiratory and speech organs, head nerves - innervations of the respiratory, phonation, articulation and hearing organs. Disordered communication ability - classification. Methods and techniques of intervention - diagnostics used in speech thrapy practice in the case of developmental dysphasia, aphasia, mutism, dyslalia, dysartria, balbuties, tumultus sermonis, rhinolalia, palatelalia, voice disorders.
