Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to understand the Czech lexical and semantic relations explained in the vocabulary; use the information to analyze the vocabulary of the text; submit a reasoned decision on the formation of words; on the basis of acquired knowledge to derive and unknown context; interpret the phenomena of word formation.

  • 1. Lexikology as linguistic discipline. Parts of lexikology. 2. Lexical system, Methods of lexikology. 3. Word - sign - semantics of words. 4. Classification of the Czech vocabulary. 5. Lexicon of Czech language. 6. Development and broading of the Czech vocabulary. 1. Lexikologie jako jazykovědná disciplína a její součásti. 2. Lexikální systém. 3. Slovo-znak - sémantika slova. 4. Třídění slovní zásoby. 5. Lexikony českého jazyka. 6. Vývoj a obohacování slovní zásoby.
