Course objectives
Annotation: The course is focused on acquiring knowledge and skills specific to education in a rapidly changing society. Attention is focused on the information society, specifics of education in the information society, the rapid growth of scientific information and the use of modern educational technology in the contemporary practice of vocational secondary schools. Objectives: At the end of the course students will be able to: • define the Information Society, navigate the ever-increasing demands of modern society to the level of preparedness of each of its members for study and full life, • define modern methods, means and forms of teaching, • To clarify the function of multimedia in teaching, • characterize distance education and e - learning and its role in the information society.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to define the information society, focus on the ever-increasing demands of modern society on the level of readiness of each of its members for study and full-fledged life. Define modern methods, means and forms in teaching, clarify the function of multimedia in teaching. Characterize distance learning and its role in the information society.
Syllabus
  • Block 1: Introduction to the Information Society. Characteristic features informative society (knowledge society, knowledge) with regard to training. Information growth. Bloct 2: Changes in the content of education (curriculum) and their implications. Modern teaching methods, teaching communication. Problem solving, the importance of creativity in the information society. Personal approach to students, emphasis on the development dimension of thinking, creative promotion of human potentialities, strengthening the moral aspects. Block 3: Using multimedia in teaching, static and dynamic display, with audio-visual technical, use animations, simulations and 3D technologies in education. Block 4: Distance education and e - learning. Blenden learning. 5th block: Summary and repetition, suggestions for educational practice, discussion and conclusions.
