Knowledge of German on lower intermediate level as documented by passing the exam at the end of the preceding summer term; ability and willingness to participate in German based classroom activities.

Course objectives
The aim is to further develop practical oral and written language skills in German. The students shall be enabled to develop their language-acknowledgment and apply it appropriately in certain situations and kontexts
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students should be able to: - express themselves in both spoken and written form to the topics discussed in class; - use the language on these topics properly; - conduct internet research on the topics; - present the acquired information in a reasonable way; - give arguments and defend opinions; - compare and assess individual phenomena within the topic.
Syllabus
  • The textbook (Perlmann-Balme: Sicher B2) will be supplemented by additional materials (IS/Učební materiály). Unit 1-6

Teaching methods
Practical exercises, literature search, presentations, conducted discussion in class, group activities.
Assessment methods
A written test, 60% of correct answers is needed, to be successfull, class attendance (missing at most three times) and activity, homework discipline.
