Course objectives
The aim of the course is to discuss and explain the basic concepts, general context and trends of development. It is also focused on the problem of the relationship between theory and practice, namely by a specific overview of the tools and measures used (institutions, benefits). At the end of the course students should be able to: - define the basic concepts of social policy, - explain the nature and structure of social policy as a science - to define the current problems of social policy and to outline possible ways of solving them on the knowledge of reading and from their own experience - to evaluate the importance of the contribution of the topics discussed to theory and practice in the field of social policy, - to express and formulate attitudes and values within the framework of social policy.
