- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to deepen students knowledge in education of students with special educational needs in mainstream school. Furthemore, students will learn hor to reflect children/students needs and react on them adequately.
- Learning outcomes
- After the course completition student: - knows elementary characteristics of student with diverse type of special educational needs; - is equipped with competences for implementation of gained knowledge for support of students with SEN in educational process from the position of teacher (teacher assistant, etc.). - has the theoretical knowledge in education of child/student with SEN in inclusive education context and he/she is able to use them properly.

- - Reflection of students with SEN needs in education. - Support measures in education of students with SEN - Approches and strategies in education of students with speech disorders, communication support, speech intervention. - Approaches and strategies in education of students with hearing disability or hearing deficits. - Approaches and strategies in education of students with specific learning disabilities. Support of literacy. - Approaches and strategies in education of students with physical disability. - Approaches and strategies in education of students with chronic diseases. - Approaches and strategies in education of students with visual disability or visual deficits. - Approaches and strategies in education of students with intellectual disability of deficits in cognitive development. - Approaches and strategies in education of students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). - Approaches and strategies in education of students with behavioral disorders of in the risk of its development. The role of special educator in intervention of problematic behavior.
