Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquire basic knowledge of the main and alternative methodological directions in foreign language teaching, theories of foreign language acquisition and language skills in linguvodidactics. Students will learn the specific needs and methods of teaching Russian language students. Students will discuss the problems of the current teaching profession, the specific needs of pupils and the experience of their own practice.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will acquire basic knowledge of main and alternative methodological directions in foreign language teaching, theories of foreign language acquisition and language skills in linguistics. Students will learn the specific needs and methods of teaching Russian language students. Students will be acquainted with the problems of the current teaching profession.

  • 1.-2. Development of didactic directions, methods and didactic procedures.
  • 3.-4. Alternative methodological directions in foreign language teaching.
  • 5.-6. Organizational forms, classical and activating teaching methods.
  • 7.-8. Specific educational needs of students
  • 9.-10. Receptive and productive speech skills and their development in Russian lessons.
  • 11.-12. Experiences of pedagogical practice of students. Presentation. Discussion.
