Course objectives
The aim is to acquire basic knowledge of child development, knowledge about the development of rational-cognitive function of man, on the development of imaginative-emotional functions. The student should acquire knowledge of human social development, basic developmental challenges, trends, bio-psychological patterns. Based on the knowledge acquired will be able to understand the peculiarities of human behavior on the basis of age specificities.
Syllabus
  • • 1st uniqueness of man • 2. Position of developmental psychology in the system of psychological disciplines, methods of developmental psychology • 3rd Phenomenon development (definition of development, patterns of development) • 4th periodization of human development • 5. Determinants of development (heredity, aging, learning) • 6th prenatal period or the life before birth (the ability of the fetus, unborn child's response to negative emotions mothers influence of lifestyle mother to fetus, psychological situation of the mother and the unborn child, the father's role, childbirth) • 7. Biological regularities of mental development (genotype and phenotype) • 8. Development of the first year of life (neonatal and infant period) • 9. Characteristics of a toddler (somatic development, speech, mental world of a toddler, cognitive performance, the game and its importance, a child's drawing). • 10th Pre-school age (somatic development, development of cognitive functions, psychical world preschooler and his traits, emotional and social development) • 11 Younger school age (question of school readiness, language development, cognitive development, the difference in cognitive performance, the development of fine motor skills and paintings výkonnová level of aspiration and motivation, emotional development, forms of communication) • On 12 Adolescence (puberty and adolescence, the problem of acceleration, somatic development and self-esteem, self-reflection, separation from their primary families, heterosexual relationships, the group and its significance) • 13th Adulthood (young adulthood, middle adulthood, older adulthood) • On 14 Ageing and old age (mechanisms of aging, life integrity)
