Course objectives
The aim of subject is to get the overview from area of special needs education with focus on children in pre-school.The student will know basic terminology and legislation of subject.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be orientated in approaches to children with special educational needs at pre-school age, will be oriented in the possibilities of co-operation of preschool educators with counselors and parents in educating pre-school children with individual types of disability
Syllabus
  • The contemporary concept of special pedagogy, care for the disabled, Inclusion Legislation. Etiology, classification of children with mental handicap, physical disability. Education and approaches to children with social disadvantage. Issues of partial function deficits. Intervention options. Conditions of pre-school education, duties of preschool special educator. Areas of special pedagogical diagnostics of children in pre-school age.
