- Course objectives
- The aim is to acquaint students with the knowledge in the area of diagnostics and the realization of therapeutic procedures in selected forms of impaired communication ability, students will become acquainted with the possibilities of working with family, school and other professionals within a comprehensive approach.
- Learning outcomes
- • The student knows the classification, etiology and symptomatology of selected forms of impaired communication ability; • • is oriented in the diagnostic approaches and methods in selected forms of impaired communication skills; • • knows the therapeutic approaches and the potential of interdisciplinary cooperation.
- Syllabus
- • Selected forms of impaired communication skills - definition, etiology, diagnostics, therapy. Impaired communication ability as a special educational need, support possibilities. . Diagnostic process - cooperation with pupil, guardians and teachers. Possibilities of interdisciplinary cooperation. Diagnostic process outputs. • Alternative and augmentative communication - characteristics of systems, specifics of selecting a suitable communication system
