German language skills at B1+ level (ccording to CEFR), proven by passing the exam at the end of the 2nd semester; Willingness and ability to actively participate in class.

Course objectives
The aim is to further develop practical language skills: speaking, writing, reading comprehension, listening comprehension. Students should be enabled to expand their language skills and apply them appropriately to different situations and audiences.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students should be able to: - express themselves in both spoken and written form to the topics discussed in class; - use the language on these topics properly; - conduct internet research on the topics; - present the acquired information in a reasonable way; - give arguments and defend opinions; - compare and assess individual phenomena within the topic; - Reflect on one's own learning progress; - Formulate constructive peer feedback.

Teaching methods
Practical exercises, literature search, presentations, guided discussions, role-playing.
Assessment methods
Written test at the end of the semester (passing threshold: 60%), mandatory attendance (allowed to miss a maximum of three times), obligatory homework, participation in class.
Náhradní absolvování
Students on a study abroad program will have their ISP (Individual Study Plan) recognized, and they will be allowed to fulfill the requirements (after agreement with the instructors at the beginning of each semester) through distance learning.
