Course objectives
Students will get a deeper knowledge of the history of French literature from the period of classicism to the end of 19th century. The emphasis is given to proper understanding the continuity and regularity of literary evolution.

  • 1. Originality of French classicism. 2. Contribution of the enlightenment period for the present. 3. French romanticism and its particularities. 4. Realism and naturalism.
