Course objectives
Somatology Practice II develops and confirms theoretical knowledge of students obtained during their lectures and individual study. In addition to discussions about obtained theoretical knowledge, the main goal of practice is to motivate students to independent thinking about connections between individual processes involving in the human body. Students are supposed to understand the human organism to be a holistic system. In programmes dealing with ergonomic problems students should prove the existence of direct relations between anthropology and pupils’ health. Practice is divided into two blocs. The first one focuses on basics of ergonomics – the aim is to familiarise students with the knowledge how the (immediate) school environment can influence pupils’ physical and mental health. The second bloc consists of several selected practical exercises focused on biology of man – it follows up the practise bloc from previous term.
