The goal of the lecture is to make students acquainted with the main features of European thouth at the turn of the 16., 17., 18. and 19. century

1. The renaissance humanism, platonism, aristotelism 2. The role of renaissance philosophy in the beginning of a modern science 3. F. Bacon: Philosophy and modern science 4. R. Descartes: Way to Cogito ergo sum 5. J. Spinoza: Pantheism 6. G. W. Leibniz: Two worlds 7. J. Locke: His epistemiology 8. G. Berkeley: His relation to Locke 9. D. Hume: His Agnosticism 10. I. Kant: His turn to subjekt 11. Fichte ang Schelling: Their relation to Kant 12. G. F. Hegel: Arbitrary idealism
