- Course objectives
- This course completes the analysis of grammatical and lexical phenomens (L 21 and 22: A. Tionová) and is focused primarily on systemic comparison of Czech and French. Translation exercises in a textbook for advanced French (Lessons 23-25) highlight the differences between the two languages and contribute to overcoming the effects of interference. Ongoing tests on lesson 21 and 22 and the translation of each lesson verify understanding phenomens were discussed. At the end of this course, students should be able to understand extended speech and lectures, articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems, participate in the talks fluently and spontaneously, if the topic is reasonably familiar, to participate actively in discussion in familiar contexts, accounting for and sustaining my views, write an essay or report, passing on information or giving an opinion. It should also be able to identify differences between the Czech and French language and easier to translate texts from one language to another.
