- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course is to develop speaking, reading, writing and listening skills at the Intermediate Level. The basic study material is the coursebook New English File Intermediate supplemented by various additional materials. At the end of the course students should be able to: discuss everyday topics, communicate in everyday situations, read and listen to authentic texts at the Intermediate Level and communicate in the language fluently.

- lectures, class discussion, pair work, group work, brainstorming, individual assignments
- Assessment methods
- Students have to pass 2 short progress tests (70%) focused on the vocabulary and grammar covered during the term, they have to present a book and an activity and submit their learning log. They will sit the final oral exam at the end of the term. Students have to prepare for lessons throughout the whole term and do homework for each lesson, which is the base for their active participation in the seminars. Most of the work is based on students' self-study.
