- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain basic knowledge concerning general zoology: (1) relation between structure and function of animal cells; (2) fundamentals of histology; (3) principles of histogenesis; (4) fundamentals of reproduction; (5) fundamentals of embryology and onthogenesis.

- 1. Histology I – animal tissues (dividing), histognesis and intercellular materials
- 2. Histology II – epithelial tissues I: structure approach
- 3. Histology III – epithelial tissues II: function approach
- 4. Histology IV – connective tissues I - fibrous tissues, cartilages
- 5. Histology V – connective tissues II – bone tissues, blood tissues
- 6. Histologie VI - muscle tissues
- 7. Histologie VII – nerval tissues
- 8. Reproduction - sexual and asexual, onthogenesis of animals, regeneration
- 9. Embryology I - embryogenesis
- 10. Embryology II: organogenesis and postembryogenesis

- Lectures in the form of PPT-presentation with explanations
- Assessment methods
- Examination (the first phase) is carried out with help of standard(abcd) written tests (it is necessary to answer correctly at least 14 from 18 questions!). However, successfull passing of credit from practices (ZOZL) is prerequisite for submition to testing.
