Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with counseling and intervention concepts for children and pupils with behavioral disorders. The course deals with theories and intervention strategies for institutional, group and individual level in the   terms and conditions a) of the school; b) external Advisory Department b) residential care. The students will learn in a structured way to assess, to handle the case studies and intervention plans and strategies. At the end of this course will be able to apply theoretical concepts in 3P intervention.

  • Advice and intervention for EBD children - tasks, forms of counseling and intervention, fulfilling the objectives • Traditional conceptual approaches to intervention – psychological theoretical   framework, basic methods • Model of informed interventions – support, strengthening, guiding • Counseling and intervention in school practice • Counseling and and intervention focused on children from socially excluded/disadvantaged families • Specifics of counseling and intervention in residential care • Communication in counseling •Assessment focused on intervention for EBD children/youth .Scaling for assessment
