- Course objectives
- The course practices and deepens the syntactic structures discussed in the lecture SY2. At the end of the course, students are able to: regain a contrastive view at a French sentence; realize differences and unity between Czech and French; determinate types of syntax relations in a sentence (syntactic structures in oral communication) and new trends in French grammar.
- Syllabus
- 1. Word order in a French sentence compared with Czech 2. Punctuation in a French sentence. 3. Sentence constituents, their relations (co-ordinative, determinative). Syntactic couples. 4. Relations between sentences expressing time and mood. 5. Contemporary trends in language. 6. Subordinate clauses proverbial (conditional, concessive, consequential, special purpose, temporal, causal). 7. Use of participles in syntax.
