Course objectives
Students acquire strategies and activities for teaching correct pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary. Students with Familiarize with a number of methodologies and strategies for listening and oral practice in teaching Russian. Students will be informed about specific activities for teaching Russian for pupils with specific educational needs. The student will be able to apply this knowledge in teaching Russian within his / her own micro-approaches in teaching. Students will discuss the problems of the current teacher's profession and the specific needs of the pupils.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge in Russian lessons within their own micro-approaches in teaching. Students will discuss the problems of the current teacher's profession and the specific needs of the pupils.

  • 1.-2. Methodology of phonetics and graphics training
  • 3-4. The methodology of lexical training.
  • 5-6. Methodology of reading and oral practice.
  • 7-8. Methodology of listening and written expression.
  • 9.-10. Teaching Russian for students with specific educational needs.
  • 11-12. Starting a Russian teacher in practice.

Teaching methods
Consultation. Discussion on the theoretical and practical issues of teaching Russian. Students are independently prepared to consult in the form of home study of compulsory literature. Process separately short presentations according to the teacher's assignment.
Assessment methods
Final oral colloquium in Russian language.
