- Course objectives
- This course provides an overview of German literary periods from the beginnings untill the beginning of the 20th century.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students should be able to characterize the relevant literary periods from the beginning of German writing to 1900.

- The lecture ends with a written exam: 5 questions on history of literature, 60% success rate, length of each answer about 4 sentences. Regular participation in lectures is desirable and useful.
