Prerequisites
Knowledge of German at level B1 and a desire to read German literary texts.

Course objectives
The aim of this course to get the students to understand a fictional text, to describe this text using the basic terminology of literary analysis and to identify basic levels of literary texts.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the students will be able to: - not get lost in a fictional text - describe this text using the basic terminology of literary analysis - identify basic levels of literary texts.
Syllabus
  • a) Levels of literary texts b) Fiction, drama, poetry c) Brief outline of literary theory d) Theme, genre, narrator, plot, story The materials, tasks and forums are located on the Moodlinka-server - the access password is the course code.
