fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
Course objectives
The aim of this course is focused on introducing various types of industry methods and different types of polymers to all participants of this course. These knowledge can be used in self production of each participant.
Learning outcomes
The outputs of this course, which the participant will apply after graduation, can include: - ability to recognize thermoplastic and thermoset, to be able to orientate in basic properties necessary for practical work with them - ability to orientate in commonly available commercial products of specialized shops - describe and apply individual processing methods (cutting, sawing, bending, casting, vacuuming, etc.) on a specific type of polymer - to implement own projects according to studied materials -

Teaching methods
teaching in the form of an interactive curriculum, individual teaching = self-study, practical independent production of products according to the syllabus
Assessment methods
CONDITIONS FOR OBTAINING A COLLOQUIUM (K):
After studying the interactive e-course syllabus, the following condition must be met to obtain the colloquium: Successfully pass all midterm tests from each chapter of the course during the semester and also pass the final online test afterwards - this test can be taken at any time during the study of the e-course, you must have at least 80% of the answers correct to pass. The whole course is simultaneously tutored by weekly consultations.

CREDIT REQUIREMENTS (Z):
A condition for obtaining credit is the successful completion of all midterm exams from the individual chapters of the course and the subsequent submission of a term paper in the form of a semester-long polymer project - the creation of a comprehensive manual for the production of two custom handmade polymer products created from polymer materials (baking compounds, Plexiglas, polystyrene, PET, epoxy resin...). The whole course is simultaneously tutored by weekly consultations.
