- Course objectives
- The subject concerns anatomy and physiology of voice organ, voice disorders of children and adults. A part of this subject is the voice practise for improving condition of the speaking voice. At the end of this course, student should be able to take care of his or her voice and thus prevent particular voice problems. After completing the subject, the student should: 1) know the voice training system for improving the condition of the speaking voice, 2) be able to take care of his/her voice and thus prevent some voice problems, 3) have an overview of possible voice disorders of children and adults, 4) know the basic recommendations on the hygiene of the voice of children and adults.
- Syllabus
- 1.-2. week Introduction. Anatomy of respiratory, phonatory and articulation system. 3.-4. week Physiology of respiratory, phonatory and articulation system. Phonation, voice production. Breathing condition exercises. 5.-6. week Resonance and voice oneset.Breathing and voice condition exercises. 7.-8. week Voice registers. Breathing and voice condition exercises. 9. week Types of voice, voice domain.Breathing and voice condition exercises. 10.week Voice disorders with children from the point od view of phoniatrics and voice teachers. Voice condition exercises. 11.week Voice disorders with adults from the point od view of phoniatrics and voice teachers. Voice condition exercises. 12.week Voice hygiene and prevention of voice disorders. Practical recommendation.

- The subject is concluded by oral exam and practical exercises. During semester is required homework. The 80% attendance is necessary for giving course-unit credit.
