Course objectives
In the seminar students will be familiarized with complementary topics that will further develop and expand the course AEB_A14b Neolithic and Eneolithic in Central Europe. The lectures are mainly focused on methodology, interdisciplinary cooperation of archaeology and natural sciences, important sites, confrontation of past knowledge and the latest theories. Students will elaborate selected topics into written papers according to predefined criteria and introduce them to their colleagues in the form of a presentation.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- work independently with literature and incorporate the acquired knowledge critically and comprehensibly into a scientific text
- set the selected topic into wider context
- introduce the topic in the form of a presentation to a wider audience
- hold a discussion based on scientific arguments
- independently formulate questions that will stimulate further discussion

Individual elaboration of papers and discussion on selected topics.
Assessment methods
The requirements are: knowledge of the issues taught in individual lectures and the Early and Late Stone Age finds, including the specialised literature related to Central Europe.
