- Course objectives
- The aim of the subject is to acquire the basic orientation in German grammar, which deals with parts of speech. The first part focuses on inflected forms (except the verbs - subject of German grammar II) as well as the other parts of speech, with particular attention being paid to the use of articles.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to identify and analyse the German parts of speech in text, he /she will also be able to master their normative description and use.

- The German noun and their variables
- The German adjective and their variables
- Rules for comparison of adjectives
- German pronouns, its types and paradigms and variables
- The paradigms of the definite and undefinite article and the basic rules for its use
- The German unflectional parts of speech: preposition, conjunction, expletives and interjection,
