- Course objectives
- The course integrates issues of educational, pedagogic and organizational counselling in relation to the contemporary school situation. The focus is on work of school counselling centres (e.g. counselling in the sphere of educational and behavioural problems and students career growth). Currently, the course pays attention to innovation of School Education Programmes and to schools self-evaluation.
- Learning outcomes
- Students should be able to describe the services of school counseling describe the working conditions of the school counseling center to know the methods of work used in school counseling to identify the work of the staff of the school counseling center propose a plan for the work of the school counseling center evaluate school counseling center

- Course Outline: 1. School counseling - development and current characteristics. 2. Institutional background of school and school counseling services in the Czech Republic. 3. Legal and legislative anchoring of the provided consulting services. 4. School counseling office. 5. School counseling workplaces. 6. Conditions of provision of school counseling services (personnel, financial, material equipment). 7. Activities of school counseling staff. 8. Determining the quality of services and evaluating the services of the school counseling office. 9. Projects aimed at supporting advisory services in education in the Czech Republic and the EU.
