Přednáška je zaměřena na orientační srovnání metod a zásad strukturalistických vypracovaných a používaných v jazykovědě s metodami vzniklými později. (Generativní gramatika, teorie pádů, teorie mluvních aktů, pragmalingvistika aj.) Je jednosemestrová a končí kolokviem.
