Přednáška je zaměřena na orientační srovnání metod a zásad strukturalistických vypracovaných a používaných v jazykovědě s metodami vzniklými později. Generativní gramatika, teorie pádů, teorie mluvních aktů, pragmalingvistika aj.) Je jednosemestrová a končí kolokviem.

Course objectives
This lecture introduces the history and development of Czech structuralism in linguistics in pre-war period. The main problems and tendencies in the post-war period in American and European linguistics and the philosophy of language are described and analysed.
