Course objectives
The subject of Modern Greek studies within the wider framework of Greek Studies, problems of the development of the language, its relation to other Balkan languages, basic phenomena of Modern Greek literature and history; information about basic texts in the field, academic journals, institutions and societies at home and abroad.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Základní informace o předmětu novořeckých studií a o jejich postavení v rámci širší grecistiky. Problémy vývoje jazyka, jeho postavení v rámci balkánských jazyků. Základní jevy novořecké literatury a novořecké historie. Vztah neogrecistiky k příbuzným disciplínám (balkánská studia, byzantologie). Informace o základních příručkách oboru, o vědeckých časopisech, institucích a společnostech v ČR i v zahraničí.
