The aim of the lecture is to introduce Modern Greek studies as a branch of studies.

Syllabus

The subject of Modern Greek Studies within the framework of Greek Studies.
Problems of the development of Modern Greek language, its relation to other Balkan languages.
Basic phenomena of Modern Greek literature and history.
Information about basic texts in the field.
Academic journals, institutions and societies at home and abroad.
