- Course objectives
- The course is concerned with the Greek prose and poetry from its beginnings to the Roman Period (in accordance with the standard periodization). At completion of the course the students know all genres of Greek prose and the prominent figures of the genres. They are also informed about the relevant secondary literature.

- The course is taught as lectures. Individual reading during the semester and written test at the end of semester. Regular attendance and participation in the course is recommended. The students who miss some lectures take a further oral examination apart from written test.
